What’s the best way to do this?

People sometimes ask what the best way is to read the weekly readings.

Is a physical Bible better?

Is your phone fine?

Is it better to listen to audio instead of reading words on a page?

The answer is simple:

I usually read on my phone, but not always. And I tend to break things up a little.

Most days I read the daily Proverbs first thing in the morning with some coffee.

Then I do the rest of the readings around lunchtime.

But it varies.

One thing I’ve noticed, though: it helps to have it on the schedule.

If you treat it as something you’ll “get to when you can,” time has a way of disappearing.

At least for me, it never allows.

I also use audio sometimes.

If my mind is wandering, it helps to play an audio Bible while following along with the text. It slows me down and keeps me focused.

Try it different ways.

See what fits your life.

Then stick with whatever keeps you going.
