  • You Don’t Need a Platform to Help Someone Read the Bible

You Don’t Need a Platform to Help Someone Read the Bible

    You don’t need a podcast.

Or a YouTube channel. Or a theology degree.

Most influence doesn’t look like that. It’s usually smaller.

    It looks like this:

“I’ve been using a simple Bible reading plan. You might like it.”

    That’s about it.

No speech. No persuasion. No pressure.

Just passing along something that made it easier to stay consistent.

A lot of people say they want to read the Bible.

Very few want to be preached at while they’re doing it. Or deal with someone else’s commentary, politics, or interpretation layered on top.

That’s usually where they fall off.

    What they’re missing isn’t effort. It’s structure.

A clear plan they can follow. A pace they can keep. Something steady.

    That’s all this is.

Four weekly readings, Proverbs daily. No counters. No commentary. Nothing to manage beyond the reading itself.

You go through it once, then come back around and do it again.

If it’s helped you stay consistent, there’s a good chance it would help someone else too.

You don’t need to explain it or defend it. Just send the link.

They can read on the site, sign up for the emails, or ignore it. Up to them.

  • You Don’t Need to Start in January

You Don’t Need to Start in January

A lot of people tell themselves they’ll start next year.

January 1 feels like a clean reset. Organized. Disciplined.

But it usually just pushes things off.

This reading plan does restart every January.

That doesn’t mean you need to wait for it.

You can start wherever we are.

    If it’s Leviticus, start there.
    If it’s Psalms, start there.

You’ll come back around to everything else.

The point isn’t to line it up perfectly.

    It’s to keep going.

    Start now.

By the time January gets here, you won’t be starting. You’ll already be in it.

  • Another week.

    Another week.

    Nothing flashy.
    Nothing complicated.

    Just steady repetition.

If you’ve been consistent — keep going.

If you missed a few days — rejoin now.

If you’re brand new — this is a perfectly fine place to start.

    No catch-up required.
    No reset needed.
Just pick up where we are.

    A reminder:

    This works because it’s simple.

One chapter of Proverbs each day that matches the date.
The weekly readings layered in as you have time.

    Over months, that repetition compounds.
Over years, it reshapes how you think.

    Quietly.

  • Should I Read or Listen?

    Should I Read or Listen?

    Some people read.

    Some people listen.

    Some people do both.

    There isn’t a “right” way.

There’s only the way you’ll actually keep doing.

    If you prefer reading, great.
Sit with it. Mark it up. Move at your own pace.

    If you prefer audio, great.
You can listen in the car. On a walk. While doing dishes.

    Personally, I’ve found something helpful:

Listening while following along in print.

It keeps your mind from drifting.
It slows you down just enough.
And it lets you see the words while you hear them.

    But that’s just a tool.

The plan here is structured around short, manageable segments — about 20 minutes per day or less.

That works whether you’re reading or listening.

    The point isn’t the format.

    The point is repetition.

    Over time, repetition builds familiarity.
    Familiarity builds understanding.
    Understanding builds stability.

    Quietly.

    Need a Bible?

  • There Is No Commentary Here

    There Is No Commentary Here

There are plenty of places online where someone will tell you what the Bible means.

    This isn’t one of them.

    There are no devotionals here.
    No interpretive framing.
No political messaging dressed up as theology.

    Just the readings.

    You bring your own background.
    Your own questions.
    Your own pace.

    Read it straight.

    Sit with it.

    Wrestle with it.

    Agree with it.
    Struggle with it.
    Return to it.

The goal here isn’t to filter Scripture through someone else’s lens.

    It’s to encounter it yourself.

If you want the weekly readings delivered to you each Sunday — simple, unfiltered, and consistent — you can sign up below.

    Readings for 2/15 – 2/21

    Another week.

    Nothing dramatic.
    Nothing complicated.
Just the next set of readings.

    That’s the strategy.

    As always:

    • Read the chapter of Proverbs that matches the day of the month.
    • Work through the weekly readings as your schedule allows.
    • About 20 minutes a day. Often less.

    That’s it.

    No catch-up.
    No pressure.
    No commentary.

    Just steady progress.

    A reminder:

If you’re behind, you’re not behind.

There are no streak counters here.
    No one tracking your progress.
    No scoreboard.

If you stopped yesterday, start again today.
If you haven’t started yet, start now.
If you missed last week, ignore it.

    This isn’t about perfection.
    It’s about repetition.

    Over time, repetition becomes understanding.
    Understanding becomes perspective.
    Perspective becomes stability.

  • If This Has Helped You, Pass It Along

If This Has Helped You, Pass It Along

    This site isn’t complicated.

    There’s no commentary.
    No devotional angle.
    No political messaging.

Just a structured plan to read through the Bible in a year.
    Every year.

    Some people need that structure.

Some people just need a quiet reminder.

Some people have been meaning to start for a long time and never quite do.

If this has helped you — even a little — there’s a good chance you know someone else it might help too.

You don’t need to convince them.

You don’t need to explain it.

    Just send them the link.

    They can:

    • Read along directly on the site
    • Or sign up to receive the weekly readings by email
    • Or ignore it entirely

    No pressure either way.

    The plan resets every January.
But no one has to wait until then.

They can start wherever we are.

  • There Is No Catch-Up

    There Is No Catch-Up

There are no catch-up days built into this plan.
    That’s intentional.

If you miss a week — or a month — you don’t go back and scramble to “fix it.”

    You rejoin the current week.

    That’s it.

    The goal isn’t perfect completion.
    The goal is long-term repetition.

    The plan resets every January.
If you miss something this year, you’ll see it again.
    And again.
    And again.

    You are not graded.
    No one is tracking you.
    There are no streak counters.

If you stopped reading yesterday, start again today.

  • So When Am I Supposed To Do This?

So When Am I Supposed To Do This?

    Whenever you will…

I’ve written about this before, but I still get asked when the best time is to do the readings.

The short answer is this: whenever you will actually do them.

Everyone’s day is different. Some people have time at the end of the day. Some first thing in the morning. Some around lunch. The timing matters less than the habit. Doing it at all matters more than doing it at a specific hour.

For me personally, if I do not do it first thing before anything else gets moving, I usually end up missing the day. It should not be that hard to set aside a few minutes, but you know how it goes. Once the day gets rolling, it has a way of crowding everything out.

One thing I have noticed about doing it in the morning is how often something I read lines up with what is happening in my life that day. Or something I need to hear. Or something that applies in a way I did not expect.

The Bible is not just a long list of rules or disconnected stories. When you pay attention to the context, it often speaks directly into real situations. Reading at the start of the day gives that room to settle and carry through whatever comes next.

That said, if mornings do not work for you, do it whenever they do. Just do it.

PS- I have not seen many new signups lately. The more people we have reading along, the easier it is for everyone to keep up. There is a social effect to it. I do not spend money advertising this or promoting it anywhere else, so it really does come down to word of mouth. If you are willing to share this with one person who might benefit from it, I would appreciate it.

    Enjoy reading!
